Solairus Aviation needed a competitive advantage in the crowded charter flight marketplace. With customers looking for an easy way to search and review flights, schedule, and book flights on their own, Solairus partnered with Alloy to develop a mobile application.
Our team accepted the challenge and started with user research to understand Solairus’ business goals and target customer needs. Solairus has a diverse customer demographic with an increasing number of younger and more tech-savvy customers who want a safe and trusted source for booking charter flights.
In order to simplify the existing booking process for these customers, custom software and key integrations were needed.
Pre-Production and Research
We worked with Solairus to refine the application workflow and user flow, conduct a content inventory, and develop user stories.
We created and presented wireframes to Solairus that established the framework for comps to be developed for each app page.
Mobile App Development
During development, our team handled requested integrations in accordance with the product vision. Features included search, quote review and approval, payment processing, chat functionality, analytics, and more.
Admin Portal Development
Our team also developed an admin portal to handle the workflow from Solairus’ sales team to app users.
Our team tested the app and admin for bugs and to ensure all requirements have been met.
After development and testing were complete, We worked with Solairus to release the application in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store for consumers.
The Solairus app is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. According to Paul Class, Solairus Aviation Senior Vice President of Charter Sales, the app has radically improved Solairus’ private air travel customer experience.
‘For most people, safety and peace of mind while traveling has become more important than ever before. The Solairus app makes it simple and straightforward for travelers to search and choose the highest quality, industry-leading, safety-vetted aircraft as they increasingly look to private air travel as an alternative to commercial and low-cost charter providers.’
