Alloy is in search of a detail-oriented and driven QA Analyst that can help our team in providing the best possible software application experiences for our client-partners. The QA Analyst will be responsible for estimate, develop, and execute tests and test plans for different types of software applications (web & mobile). This is an opportunity to share your expertise with a wide range of client-partners in a broad spectrum of industries. Working as part of a highly-driven and talented multi-discipline team with a high profile client roster, the QA Analyst will work closely with technical leads, developers, and engineers to continually test and improve the applications we build. Success will require an individual that thrives in a problem-solving setting and also embodies a natural tendency to learn, analyze, and communicate.

What You Will Do

  • Design and execute test plans for Alloy and our client-partners to ensure that the software delivered is fit for purpose and meets business needs
  • Assist with capture and clarification of business requirements and translate to test requirements
  • Ensure that defects can be reproduced and documented in sufficient detail for developers to locate and amend the incorrect code
  • Manage the defects found during the testing phase and work with stakeholders to prioritize and resolve them
  • Assist with establishing new processes, practices, procedures and quality standards as necessary
  • Work with Alloy development team on integrating automated testing
  • Continually improve Alloy’s QA process by keeping up to date with latest testing technologies

Nice to haves:

  • Strong educational background, BA or BS preferred
  • Experience agile methodology and best practices
  • Knowledge of industry standards in software development and quality engineering process
  • The ability to edit some code to assist in testing automation is a plus
  • 3+ years of QA experience as a primary job function
